WWE Part 11 - Unforgiven 2008

The new GM of RAW, Mike Adamle had a great idea: Scramble match for the World Heavyweight Title. This match was going to consists of 5 superstars and two of them were going to start the match. At each 5 minutes interval, a new superstar will enter the match. The match’s duration was of 30 minutes. The superstar to pin another will be declared the current champion but it will be the superstar who is champion after the 30 minutes that will leave Unforgiven as champion.

His idea was great and both SMACKDOWN and ECW did the same kind of match for their own championship matches.

For RAW: CM Punk was going to defend his World Title against Batista, Mysterio (who replaced Cena after The Marine got injured on RAW), JBL and Kane.

For SMACKDOWN: Triple H was going defend his WWE title against Benjamin, Brian Kendrick, MVP and Jeff Hardy.

For ECW: Mark Henry was going to defend his ECW title against Matt Hardy, Morrisson, Chavo and Finlay.

But there was another match for which the WWE Universe was biting his nails to see it. Shawn Michaels who demanded an Unsanctioned match against Chris Jericho, who gave Michaels all the pains of the world these last months. Everyone was just hoping that Michaels do not leave the arena in a stretcher but Michaels begun the match with all the rage and fury he had in him. He tortured with boots and belts and Jericho needed an intervention from lance Cade to gain control of the match. However, The Showstopper fight back including the Elbow Drop on both Cade and Jericho on the announce table. With Cade knocked out, Y2J still fought back with the Walls of Jericho but a determined didn’t tap out and freed him with the help of the fire extinctor. Then came the Sweet Chin Music but Michaels purposely didn’t do the cover and continued destroying Jericho who fell unconscious by the assaults. Michaels still continued his assaults till finally the referee declared Michaels as winner by knock-out. This enraged even more Michaels who delivered the Sweet Chin Music to the referee. Was HBK’s thirst for revenge accomplished?

Undertaker promised to take Vickie Guerrrero to hell as he did to Edge but Big Show intervened saving the SD GM. He delivered a devastating choke-slam and two huge blows to The Dead Man who remained unconscious in the ring.

The ECW champion, Mark Henry was not able to overcome the hurdles against his ECW title and Matt Hardy. Unforgiven could have been a ‘Hardyz’ night if Jeff would have been WWE champion but he was lost from one second. What a match it was for the WWE championship! Firstly, The Brian Kendrick became champion and surprised everyone by remaining it till… the arrival of The Game. Triple H placed a Pedigree and became champion but at the other end, Jeff did a Swanton Bomb on Benjamin and became champion. He was going to make history but Triple H had some other plans. At 5 seconds of the end of the match, he placed a Pedigree and became champion one second before the end of the match.

CM Punk was preparing himself to prove everyone that he is a valuable champion but Orton did not like that idea. He kicked Punk in the skull with the help of his ‘legacy’. The match began without Punk who was going to enter the last. When the last man entered, everyone was shocked to see that it would be Jericho who would replace The Straight-Edge superstar. However, Jericho was hardly able to stand on his feet, thanks to the Heart-Break kid. Then Mysterio placed the 619 and Batista tried to do the Batista Bomb on Mysterio to prevent him to do the cover as Batista was the current champion. Suddenly, Y2J entered the ring and Kane who has just taken the 619. Y2J became the champion and Batista, shocked by the events could not do anything and Jericho’s worst night transformed into a World Champion dream.
